Bio

overheadWillie B (a.k.a. Brian Wilson) was born on February 13, 1975, and grew up on the outskirts of Boston. He has performed and recorded with many great artists such as Jamie Lidell, Johnny Dowd, Neko Case, BRIAN! Eszter Balint, TZAR, Sally Timms (The Mekons), Anna Coogan, The Mofos, and punk legend Jayne County . He is best known for incorporating Moog bass pedals into his setup, allowing him to play bass and drums simultaneously. In 2008 Willie took this concept on the road with Jamie Lidell on a world tour in support of his album JIM (Warp Records), which included a month as opening act for Elton John in Europe. Willie has also held down the drum chair for Jamie Lidell’s 2010/2011 Compass World Tour, which includes the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. He also joined Lidell on his 2013 tour in support of his self titled release “Jamie Lidell”.
